Polipundit has gone immigration crazy, and has decided that his guest bloggers MUST agree with him on illegal immigration, or leave. So, he locked them out from posting on his blog, and now the blog is dead. So much for the freedom of speech Polipundit has always pushed so hard for.

I hope everyone deletes their bookmarks to his site. I not only removed Polipundit as my home page (it was my favorite blog) but I also removed my link to Polipundit from this site (not that anyone comes here lol).

Michael Hiltzik's Bizarre Tale of Bias at the LA Times

This story is just too weird. Michael Hiltzik created several online identities, and posted comments on Patterico's Pontifications, and Hugh Hewitt's website debating them, mocking them, mocking their point of view, and generally mischaracterize their arguments. Hiltzik is a Pulitzer Prize winning writer for the LA Times. He even used these psudonyms to back each other up and reinforce the arguments he was making. Meaning he would post something under one name, then post another post under another name backing up the first guy...and so on. WACKY!

Of course, people do this all the time on Blogs. They usually aren't liberal Pulitzer Prize winning writers. The LA Time is blatantly biased liberal, so it's nice to see them get caught for once.

Wow, where to begin with this one. It's bad enough that McKinney cannot control herself. She's totally and completely out of control with rage and hate. It's bad enough she hit a police officer charged with protecting HER and everyone she knows in the capital.

Does anyone out there feel like McKinney's bad behavior is likely to make things less safe for congress? If a guard doesn't recognize a member of congress, should they err on the side of caution, or on the side of stupidity, afraid of another attack from McKinney and her racist crew?

There is NOBODY more racist than McKinney in congress. She is the eternal victim, blaming every little problem she has on white people. She blames the guard for being racist, to somehow deflect the fact that she hit the guy. Cynthia, YOU are the racist one. YOU are the one that assaulted a police officer because he is white.

So, what would happen if I, a peasant American, hit a capital police officer? What would happen if any old Joe hit a capitol police officer? We'd be arrested on the spot. They wouldn't let us go do our job, or get away with it. We'd be arrested.

Why should McKinney be treated any differently? Because she's a victim...again? Should she not be arrested because she's an angry black woman? She should be arrested and treated like anyone else. Period.

I think the real resolution to this, is that EVERYONE should go through the metal detectors. All congressmen and women should. We now know that certain people don't have to go through the detectors. Isn't that but an invitation for terrorists to try and exploit this clearly flawed system? I for one don't trust people who hit cops to be exempt from going through metal detectors in critical parts of government buildings. Ever hear of going postal? McKinney is a prime candidate for such lunacy.

Over at CNN, covering the pressing issues of the day, no doubt. I love the picture they used of him too (note: it's not the same picture as I used to the right), really no animosity there.

From CNN:

The Boston Herald reported Monday the justice made "an obscene gesture, flicking his hand under his chin" in response to a question about whether lawyers might question his impartiality in matters of church and state.

Further down:

"From watching too many episodes of the Sopranos, your staff seems to have acquired the belief that any Sicilian gesture is obscene -- especially when made by an 'Italian jurist.' (I am, by the way, an American jurist.)," he wrote (Scalia wrote), referring to the American television series about a fictional mob boss and his family.

The real news here is that the Herald now thinks you must be an atheist to be a jurist on any trial where religion is concerned. What bunk.

If You Were On the Fence On Immigration...

Hopefully this will change your mind.

I honestly didn't care much about immigration, or the immigration issue before this week. However, in light of the insurgency that we have in California and across the country, as evidenced by these pictures, I have changed my mind. I want a crack down, I want the border sealed, and I want these illegal immigrants gone.

We have Mexican flags flying high in our cities. The picture to the right is of the Montebello High School in California, taken earlier this week. Not only did they fly the Mexican flag above the US flag, but they ALSO had the gall to hang our flag upside down. I went them gone. All of them. Send them back to Mexico. If it's so great there, and they love their homeland so damn much, GO HOME. Leave us.

It may be hard to believe, but I honestly didn't care about this issue one bit a week ago. I could have been persuaded to go either way. Now, after seeing Mexican flags flying in our cities, and communist propaganda mixed in, I want them gone.

Bush, you better not give these people amnesty, or citizenship. They need to go home.

Many immigrants have come to this country. When they come, you don't see them come out in mass to overthrow the government and fly their native flags. These people need to go. They don't appreciate our system, they do not love this country, and they certainly should not be allowed to vote.

Bush Approval Rate Climbing

He's up to 45% approval now. I wouldn't celebrate that number if I were democrats. Only 80% (which is an improvement) of Republicans gave him the thumbs up. That means there are enough Republicans out there who will vote Republican that are not giving him the thumbs up.

If Bush continues to clean house a little, and keeps fighting back hard on Iraq, then things should be just fine. However, if he stops fighting the political fight here in the states, Republicans in the house will be in trouble in November.

I think there will be a major push by Republicans come fall, and as usual the Democrats will blow all their ammo before the game really starts.

Drudge broke the story today that Green sent out an email which Drudge explained this way:

A top producer at ABC NEWS declared "Bush makes me sick" in an email obtained by the DRUDGE REPORT.

John Green, currently executive producer of the weekend edition of GOOD MORNING AMERICA, unloaded on the president in an ABC company email obtained by the DRUDGE REPORT.

"If he uses the 'mixed messages' line one more time, I'm going to puke," Green complained.

I wrote Mr. Green earlier today with this message. You can also email green, as it's listed on the Drudge link (actually it's in the picture that accompanies the story).

Mr. Green,

Please, don't be sorry about your email posted on Drudge today. If only the news people WOULD express their bias, the American people would be SO MUCH better off. As is, news organizations like yours simply lie to us, by claiming that you are not liberally biased. People believe it, even though time and again we see that it'’s not true.

How can you fairly cover the news, if the president makes you want to puke? You can't, so DON'T cover it fairly. You should, however, cover it honestly. Express that you are a liberal, that you are advocating YOUR point of view, and that you oppose Bush. Then, and ONLY then will Americans understand the propaganda from all sides put in front of them every day.

The great ruse the media likes to hide behind is this bogus air of objectivity. There is no such thing. Stop pretending. John Kerry makes me puke, so does Hillary, and I run a conservative blog and am not ashamed to admit any of those points. Tell the truth. Tell us where YOU come from.

The reason that you don't cover the good in Iraq is not because it's too dangerous, or that there is no good, but merely because you don't want to report the good because it helps Bush and the people trying to liberate Iraq. In other words, it makes you WRONG. The bombs are easier to report, make flashier headlines, and obscure the truth. Good reporting isn't easy, and there isn't much hard reporting going on today in Iraq or anywhere. You've all become lazy and fat with your bias, your denial of it, and your opinions you seem to be trying very hard to prove through polls and excessive coverage of points you're trying to make.

With 16 provisions of the act set to expire next week, the bill would make 14 of them permanent and extend two others by four years.

Are Democrats nuts? Do they REALLY want to have a debate about the Patriot Act and national security again? Why would they want two of the provisions to sunset? So they can get clobbered more? The smartest thing they could have done, would have been to make it permanent. Now, we get to talk about the Patriot act again, when portions of it sunset. John Conyers Sends His Kids to Private School

Once again, the hypocrisy of the left on vouchers is in full view. The facts are, public schools are broken. The teachers have no authority over the kids. The kids are treated like they are adults, when they are not. The kids in public schools are in an unhealthy environment, where discipline is not enforced, teachers are not given bonuses or better wages for being better teachers, and poor teachers are not even paid less, when they should be fired.

We need a system that works. Clearly, if the public schools are not good enough John Conyers' kids, they are not good enough for mine or yours. We need competition in our schooling, we need the teacher's union to be dissolved and kicked as far from our children as possible. They make it impossible for us to reward good teachers, and impossible for us to fire or demote bad teachers. The teacher's unions also drive the cost of education through the roof. The teacher's union also creates an unhealthy leftist socialist environment in the school system.

Attention America, WE ARE IN TROUBLE. This is serious, and we will all pay in the end if we are not given choice on how and where our kids should be educated.

If our public schools are so great, why doesn't anyone want to send their kids to them? If our public schools are so great, why doesn't the NEA want to compete with private schools to educate our kids? If the public schools are so great, the teacher's unions should have nothing to worry about. Well, the dirty secret is that the teacher's unions KNOW the schools are crap. They know that they fail poor kids, and kids of all stripes every day, and they know that people are scrambling to find a way to get their kids out of the blight that is our school system.

Tommy Thompson Making A Political Comeback?

I doubt the last one is a serious thought on his part, but I sure hope he is serious about running for governor or the senate. Either way, his return to Wisconsin politics would be much appreciated by many folks in this state.

Thompson's brother got Jim Doyle elected last time around, by running as a libertarian and splitting the conservative vote. Hopefully Tommy can make that right and send Doyle packing.

Tony Blankley on the Media Hissy Fit Over Cheney

This article, in regard to Cheney's hunting accident, is well worth the read. Here's a couple of my favorite parts:

In the absence of any pressing news these days -- other than Iran's nuclear weapons development crisis, the election of Hamas terrorists in Palestine, ongoing worldwide Muslim riots and killing in reaction to a cartoon, Al Gore's near sedition while speaking in Saudi Arabia, the turning over of our East Coast ports to be managed by a United Arab Emirates firm, the criminal leaking of vital NSA secrets to the New York Times, Mexican military incursions across our southern border, the Iraqi crisis, Congress's refusal to deal with the developing financial collapse of Social Security and Medicare, inter alia -- the White House press corp has exploded in righteous fury over the question of the vice president's little shooting party last weekend.

Blankley Goes on to say:

But the Washington press corp, and particularly the White House press corp, has developed, as an institution, a grossly dilated view of itself. Most of us can tolerate arrogance if it is accompanied by extraordinary capacity and virtuosity. The brilliant scientist, the war-winning general, the great artists are entitled to their pride.

But the hallmark of the Washington Press corp these days is mediocrity, groupthink, a lack of curiosity and rampant careerism. These attributes were all on show in the shooting party incident. But this is just a trivial incident -- except for the poor, shot gentleman who suffered a heart attack, may he recover fully and quickly.

Read the whole thing...really, it's a great piece on the current disorder of the media.

Note, that rather than be concerned about the man shot, the media is hyper focused on the fact that the Washington Press Corp was not first informed of this incident, and further that they weren't informed a couple hours sooner than they feel they should have been. So much so that one reporter asked if Cheney should resign. So much so that the liberal media feels that this is proof of the secret nefarious dealings of the white house. Insanity. Pure and simple stupidity.

Democrats In Disarray

Paul Hackett has dropped out of the Ohio senate race. It appears that Chuck Schumer had his dirty, greedy, condescending hands all over this one. Hey Paul, word to the wise, this is how Democrats work.

The Democrats and Chucky boy Schumer did this:

National Democratic leaders, especially Sen. Charles Schumer, chairman of the Senate campaign committee, had told Hackett's top fundraisers to stop sending money, Hackett told The Associated Press on Tuesday.

"My donor base and host base on both coasts was contacted by elected officials and asked to stop giving," Hackett said. "The original promise to me from Schumer was that I would have no financial concerns. It went from that to Senator Schumer actually working against my ability to raise money."

Don't worry though, the Democrats strategy for 06 is clear; get as many Iraq war vets to run in red states as possible. They may have abandoned Hackett and left him out to dry, but they have a host of other Iraq vets running. Heck, if they can't be for the war, then they might as well profit from it. At least that's what they think.

Anything on Al Gore's America-bashing speech in Saudi Arabia? Not in the paper, yesterday or today.

I sincerely hope that anyone who reads the WashPost knows that they are reading the most liberal of papers.

It's Hard to Know Where to Begin: Press Reaction to Cheney's Hunting Accident

David Gregory has managed to make a fool out of himself two times in two days! First there was his daily attempt to beat up on Scott McClellan, which resulted in yelling. His theatrics only prove that he's a liberal, and took a lot of drama queen classes in high school.

Then he truly went crazy when McClellan and Gregory had this exchange (read the whole thing on Drudge):

Gregory asked White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan about the Cheney hunting accident.

'David, hold on, the cameras aren't on right now,' McClellan replied. 'You can do this later.'

'Don't accuse me of trying to pose to the cameras,' Gregory said, voice rising. 'Don't be a jerk to me personally when I'm asking you a serious question.'

And the liberal freak show continued with Dana Milbank dressing up like a court jester on Ohio Recount with Keith Olberman. Video and picture here at Michelle Malkin's blog.

If you really want to have some fun, buy one of these.

In all seriousness, could the press over react on this any more? Is that even possible, or have we reached the limits of how big an over reaction can possibly be? So Cheney didn't call up his good bud David Gregory first, before he went to the hospital and made sure the guy he just shot was going to be okay...big deal! So the press feels they should have been informed at 10pm at night, rather than when it was first given to press the next morning...big deal!!! Who really cares, do these people actually think that Cheney was going to try to cover this up? No, they are again trying to create issues to beat up the administration.

Over and over I listened to liberals liken this to the "administration's environment of secrecy and information hoarding". Chris Matthews acted like the world was ending. Last night when he wasn't beating up on Iraq War vets running for congress, he was hysterical over this story. I'll try to find a transcript and quotes later.

One reported asked McClellan if Cheney should resign over this hunting accident. She was being fair and objective.

In conclusion, I have to think that the timing and way this story was released was yet another Rove strategy. He's aware of the level of insanity that has crept into the white house press corps, and he knew that they'd play the part of fools...being the gullible lot they are.

Even Jeff Greenfield Thinks it was Not Smart to Use King's Funeral for Political Platform

Liberal Speech Writer and MSM CNN Show Host Jeff Greenfield thinks it was perhaps not smart to use King's funeral for a political stump speech. He wastes no time going after the "conservative media" for jumping all over the story. However, he admits it wasn't smart, though not wrong, for them to use King in this way.

Greenfield admits:

I do, however, think that in a more subtle way, this actually rebounds to the credit of President Bush. I mean, he came to the funeral, changed his plans, made a gracious speech. And I think for people who are not politically committed -- I mean, if you don't like George Bush, this [using King's funeral for political purposes] was fine. If you like George Bush, this was horrible.

Greenfield is a former speech writer for Robert Kennedy. Again, another example of a liberal speech writer or political consultant going on to have a MAJOR news show. They litter prime time, and the top jobs at most news organizations with former liberal politicians, speech writers and consultants. That is why Fox News is so important. They are the only station without liberals at the head and the helm. It's too bad Fox doesn't spend more time on politics, instead of the latest murder drama.

For those who don't know, Obama ran in Illinois as this gracious guy who was going to be a bipartisan grown man, and was going to be above politics to get things done "for the people". So far he has been a liberal tool. He tows the line, no matter what. When he speaks you see his incincerety. He honestly looks like a scared little boy now. A very stark contrast to election in 2004. He can't stand up to the liberal activists and special interest groups, he can't stand up for America, and he is a ultra liberal phony.

Uh, actually he didn't do that. He vowed to put up "strict constructionists". Big difference ol' chap. Those are people who stick to the writing of the law, not go outside of it and make personal judgments despite the law. Like when the supreme court actually sited foreign law in it's assessment of the death penalty. I'm against the death penalty, but our laws are clear on it, and cited foreign law is inexcusable.

They opened with this paragraph:

A sharply divided U.S. Senate on Tuesday confirmed Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court, backing a second conservative nominated by President George W. Bush in his effort to move the nation's highest court to the right.

I don't know, there were several dems that voted for him, and half the dems voted to have a vote. I wouldn't call a nearly 58 vote majority a sharp divide. Unless I was a liberal.

At least this much is true:

WashPost Wants to Know Why We Can't Crack al Qaeda communications-Criticizes Wiretaps

This is from the WPost's report this morning about yesterday's release of a tape Qaeda No. 2, Ayman al-Zawahiri, "taunting" President Bush over our recent failure to vaporize him:

M.J. Gohel, a terrorism analyst and chief executive of the Asia-Pacific Foundation in London, said it appeared that Zawahiri and bin Laden had coordinated their recent messages. He said it was noteworthy that al Qaeda's leaders had fashioned an effective system of communication that Western intelligence agencies have been unable to penetrate.

Meanwhile, here in Oz, the U.S. Senate has decided to conduct a hearing Monday to grill high government officials about whether they have violated the law by trying to penetrate al Qaeda's communications. During wartime. While al Qaeda is trying to blow up American cities and kill American civilians.

Here's the Wash Post making the case against spying on al Qaeda. If that's not good enough, just do a search on google for "Washington Post NSA Spying" and you'll see there are countless stories attacking Bush for spying on al Qaeda.

I'll let you in on a secret, the story above is a perfect example of how the media does it's dirty work. They bill a story as, "White House Disputes Gore on NSA Spying" and then they go after Bush for the better part of the story.

- Paragraph one, Bush strikes back with "tough terms" while civil liberty unions go to court to stop Bush.

- Paragraph two, Bush's spokesman "lashed out" at Gore and Clinton, while Kerry joined the attack on Bush.

- Paragraph three, Bush's "barrage" and then finally a couple sentences that are just facts.

- Paragraph four, ACLU files lawsuit against Bush

- Paragraph five, a full quote from the ACLU nut, who likens spying on al Qaeda to the crimes of Nixon (in the end all Republicans are Nixon to these guys)

- Paragraph six, More on the ACLU and listing a whole bunch of people who are on board against Bush.

- Paragraph seven, Gore and Kerry quotes against Bush and spying on al Qaeda.

- Paragraph eight, finally a quote from the Bush administration about Gore. Notice they built a nice case against Bush before they would even mention what Bush's people had said about Gore and the title of the article. John Kerry gets a full quote before Bush's people in this story about the Bush rebuttal to Gore. Notice this is the shortest paragraph so far.

- Paragraph nine, another short Bush admin quote, which is used as a setup to smash down what Bush's people are saying.

- Paragraph ten, talks about Clinton's warrantless searches, but then dismisses what Clinton did because later he supported amending the law to not allow warrentless searches for foreign intel. (Another brilliant move by Clinton. Put up the wall, terrorists attack, and then try to keep the wall up.)

- Paragraph eleven, Bush's people "returned fire against" Hillary. The paragraph goes on to quote Hillary and her irrelevant quote on congress being run like a plantation with no opposing views being allowed.

- Paragraph twelve, Bush's people say Hillary's quote about being president in 08.

- Paragraph thirteen, Bush people quote about how this is about politics.

That's how they do business. They use countless liberals against Bush (Kerry, Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Gore, the ACLU, and a whole slew of ACLU Cronies) to make the case that the NSA terrorist surveillance program is illegal, or to just leave the impression that the masses are against it. Meanwhile they only use quotes form Bush's press secretary to express the other side's position. Makes it look like a zillion people against one, Bush. This is regular business for liberal columnists. Articles are frequently written in this manner, where they report the opinions of a whole bunch of liberals and liberal groups, and pit them just against Bush. Bush's supporters get no mention in these stories, because that would undermine what they are trying to accomplish by writing these stories.

Isn't it funny how the things she's saying are EXACTLY what Usama Bin Laden and al Zarqawi want her to say when they blow people up. Isn't it funny that when these people murder, maim, and kill innocent people, fools like Amanpour want to retreat and let them win? Let's face it Amanpour, you were never for this war no matter what. You were against it from day one, so don't pretend to all of the sudden want the war over. The body count doesn't matter to you, you want to be right. Right for you is for us to lose the war.

I'm very sorry for Woodruff and his family, however the fact that some guys are killing innocent people is exactly the reason why we shouldn't leave. Why would any sane person want Zarqawi, Zawahiri, and Bin Laden to win? How exactly would that help us? I can tell you this, to defeat them in Iraq would be the biggest win against terrorism that could possibly be imagined. Think about the clout Somalia gave Bin Laden. Think about the clout that Afghanistan gave Bin Laden. It gave him and all his ilk hope that they REALLY could defeat us. Why Bush Doesn't Need FISA For Terrorist Surveillance Program

I just finished watching the president's press conference, and thought the press was unusually deaf and dumb today. The question; why doesn't Bush use FISA, and why doesn't Bush get more laws passed for the Terrorist Surveillance Program?

The answer is so simple that I think it's hard for people to comprehend. The reason Bush doesn't use FISA, is because he has the legal authority to conduct the program this way. In other words, he does not need to use FISA, because there's no law saying he has to in this case (international to domestic surveillance).

Why doesn't he pass new laws to conduct surveillance on terrorists? Again, why would he ask for new laws if he already has the legal authority? The answer to both questions is that simple; he has the legal authority to do it this way. Why do it another way that could provide a tip off to the terrorists, if you're within your rights to do it this way?

Reading through and looking at all of these pictures makes me extremely proud of the Pro-Lifers that marched that day. It's a great contrast between the sane and the insane. How many people want the anarchists and Pro Choice crowd in these pictures running our country? I can't imagine too many would. The Democrat senators and house members may not dress this way, but they increasingly talk the way of the pro-death crowd. They use increasingly careless language, mis-truths, and vulgarity to express their message, because they are losing just about every debate.

What would the dems do if elected? The only thing that seems certain, is investigate Bush. Other than that, it doesn’t seem that your side has a whole lot of ideas to sell, and the ideas you're selling, nobody is buying.

The reason Rove can tell you what their strategy is, is because you don’t have an answer now, and you never will. Your party is set up and built around an anti-war, anti-CIA, anti-FBI, anti-Bush, anti-anti, group of factions that can’t agree on anything more substantial than hate of Bush. It’s obvious to anyone paying even meager attention to the politics of the Dems that you are responsible for the breakdown of intelligence prior to 9/11. You made it impossible for the CIA and FBI to connect the dots. You haven’t changed your tune, and the NSA spy story only accentuates further the Dems lack of commitment to the war on terror.

Time Magazine Uses the Tactics of McCarthy on Bush

Apparently it's okay to destroy Republicans using McCarthy like tactics. Guilt by association, and guilt by having your picture taken with someone at a fundraiser. It's amazing to me that the left can't see how hypocritical and desperate they look by going after the president because he was in a few pictures with Abramoff.

I was in a couple pictures with the president too at a rally this past election cycle in Green Bay. Does that mean that if I commit a crime, or make an illegal contribution that Bush is guilty of it too? I mean seriously kids, does it make sense to anyone here that Bush would sell out the government for a $100,000 campaign contribution, when he has hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars in the bank for campaigning? How many people do you think have had their picture taken with Bush? I don't deny that Abramoff is a bigger fish than you or me, but to imply that the president of the United States is guilty of a crime because he had his picture taken with a person who was not known to be a criminal at the time, is insane. It's what good ol' Joe McCarthy would do, it's what Time Magazine is doing too.

So Bush had his picture taken around or with millions of people over the last five years. Were they all saints? Is Bush guilty of all their crimes?

I also find it HIGHLY unlikely that more than a handful of Abramoff's contributions were a result of corruption, or were intended to peddle influence. The contributions to the Democrats, I think are HIGHLY more suspect, since his heart was obviously not in giving them money. He had to have another reason than ideology to facilitate contributions from certain special interests to Democrats.

We won't hear any of this by way of the MSM though, they are busy plotting the character assassination of George W. Bush. Time magazine is but another arm of the Democrat party.

The Only Thing Carl Levin Sounds Alarmed About is George Bush, Not Iran

In this post over at MSNBC.com, it starts out trying to say that 2006 is much like 1980, in that the US is hampered with a devastated economy, oil crisis, and the majority party had (will have) catasrophic loses in the election and problems with Iran.

It goes on to say that it's not like 1980, but only because this time the problem with Iran isn't "oil" but nukes. Never mind that the economy is kicking some pretty extreme butt right now. What was unemployment in 1980? What was the inflation rate in 1980? What was the tax rate in 1980? Oh yeah, right. 1980 was also a presidential election year, which makes a big difference. Never mind also that "catastrophic losses" for Republicans is pretty unlikely. The system is so gerrymandered, that it's unlikely to change much. I suppose the dems could take the house, but that's really it.

I also love this quote from Karl Levin, who wants you to think he's tough on Iran, but all he talks about is Bush.

Sen. Carl Levin, D- Mich., the senior Democrat on the Armed Services Committee sounded a similar note Wednesday, saying that Bush has got to get allies. He's got to reach out and do everything he can to bring in people who will join us for whatever action at the United Nations. HeÂs got to become much more of a multilateralist person and heÂs got to mean it."

Levin said Bush's management of the Iraq war has hurt his ability to form consensus on Iran.

"He's been unilateralist consistently. It's been kind of cocky rhetoric that he's used you're either with us or against us, and it has turned off a lot of people whose support we need, the Michigan Democrat said.

Gee, who does he sound more scared of, the guy who wants spread democracy around the world and fight terrorism, or the guy that wants to wipe the Jews off the map with nukes?

What the Radical Communists at UCLA Don't Want You to Know: Everything

A past student of UCLA has started an organization to try to expose the radical liberal bias and indoctrination of students at UCLA. Isn't it funny how all these radical liberals want freedom of speech, they just don't want the general population to know what THEY are saying to impressionable young minds.

In my opinion this is a great effort, by a past student. He is performing a community service to the parents who are sending their kids into a brainwashing factory. It's not just that these students are exposed to another perspective, it's that they are only getting a radical teaching. The tactics to indoctrinate these students are no different than Madrassas really, when you think about it, except that they use the religion of radicalism. The irony is that the far left radical communists at UCLA are teaching hate of America, and the far right madrassas teach the same thing.

Vouchers and School Choice, Now is the Time

This is a great article by John Fund, on school choice, and ending the union monopoly on our public school system.

As a parent with kids soon entering the Wisconsin public school system, I am deathly afraid of the education they will receive. I went through that monopoly of a system, where bad teachers have no chance of being fired, reprimanded, or for that matter, doing any worse in any other way, than the very best teachers. Communism doesn't work in the real world, so why is it good enough to throw our children in a communist type school system?

If you missed John Stossel's program "Stupid in America" then you missed out on one of the best and most important pieces of journalism I have seen in ages. Our schools are a joke. They are a disaster. The Democrats are in a very unholy alliance with teacher's unions, which are the most unholy of them all. Teachers may not be bad people, but the people running the unions certainly are. After watching that shuckster of a union president interviewed on this show, I came away feeling dirty.

Of course, they don't want to show what these bullies on the judiciary committee are really doing to people, as that would be bad for the AP's party, the Democrats. Well, it's no shock that communists have infiltrated the college system in this country. It's also really not that shocking that one of them was spying for Cuba, to be honest. One can only hope that Castro's time with us is near an end.

I think conservatives need to take the education problem in the US much more seriously. We need to somehow take back the university system. Far left liberals, like Juan Cole, are rotting our children's mind out from the inside. I wouldn't be so bad if there was balance of opinion on the campuses in our universities, but as any conservative know who's been through the system, it is a socialist, communist, radical leftist, training ground. Try being of a conservative persuasion in one of these classes, and many times you will not get a fair shake.

Well, he's contributed and raised money for many Democrats too. To portray him as Republican fundraiser is dishonest in the extreme.

I hope that Abramoff rots in prison for a long time. There is nothing more dangerous than corruption in government. I also hope that any congressman of any party who was bribed is sent to the slammer. Once again though, the media portrays a problem for both parties, as primarily Republican. Gee, why is that? Liberal bias? Nooooooo...you don't say.

That said, the LA Times fails to mention any Democrat ties at all. They detail his ties to Republicans, which apparently assumes that any Republican who may have dealt with him, is of course, crooked. They don't prove that, in any way, accept to say stuff like this, which proves nothing.

His reach into the Republican power structure was vast. Beleaguered former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay once described him as "one of my closest and dearest friends." Abramoff was one of the "pioneers" who raised more than $100,000 for President Bush's 2004 reelection campaign.

Of course what that has to do with bribery, I don't know. He raised $80,000 for Democrat Byron Dorgan, $46,000 for Democrat Tom Harkin, and $70,000 for Harry Reid. Does that too make them guilty? Hardly. How about the LA Times and others wait for the facts to come out before painting essentially painting ALL Republicans in this light? This is pathetic activist journalism by the LA Times.

I find so much of the discussion of this issue so hopelessly superficial. Terrorists perform acts of terrorism for publicity - there is no other logical reason. Since we give them publicity, the acts continue. Since we insist on giving world-wide coverage to even relatively trivial acts of terrorism, there will be no end to them until the police forces in Iraq reach a level of such size and sophistication that only the most elaborate terrorist plots succeed. If the MSM would just shut up that point would be reached so much more quickly, and so many fewer people would die (let us talk, sometime, about collateral civilian casualties, and how much of that blood wets the hands of the New York Times).

To indicate how simple the solution may be , imagine if every murder in Washington, DC (just that one city) were reported in banner headlines and described in graphic detail in the MSM, and added to a counter of the level of casualties with a multi-paragraph animadversion on how its very occurrence documented the utter impotence of the police, despite the vast taxpayer funds spent on their salaries and training. It amazes me that our MSM sets a higher standard for the freshly recruited Iraqi police than it does for our own. No, let me be honest, it doesn't amaze me at all?

Okay, I lied, I do have something to say about it. These two posts inspired me to write the following email to CNN because their page one news today is more violence in Iraq, and more dead people:

You do realize by reporting the terror bombs the way you do, with sensation and ONLY covering the big bright flashes (are you a bird?) that you are PERPETUATORS of that violence. The violence is done BECAUSE of you, and FOR you, because you WILL report it for al Qaeda. This is what they WANT you to do.

You do the bidding of al Qaeda. I don't know how you report this stuff? I really don't. All I know is that in doing it you are acting for al Qaeda's interests more than anybody else's. Does this benefit the US war effort? Obviously it hurts it. Does this benefit the Iraqi people? Obviously it hurts them. Does this benefit al Qaeda? Obviously you're doing EXACTLY what they want you to do, so it benefits them greatly. Who else is the benefactor of your coverage? People who want be vindicated in their anti-war position, which is selfish, greedy, and is resulting in lots of dead people.

Their blood is most definitely on YOUR hands. It really isn't rocket science.

Why you continue to do the bidding of al Qaeda, I'll never know. I guess it's for some altruistic vague notion of right and wrong. Your position has no place for dead people, except to sensationalize them, and use their deaths to perpetuate more violence.

Then there is this article about the military supporting Bush by a 2:1 ratio. These numbers are down a bit, but are still strong, regardless. I think that these numbers will go back up to the stratosphere as Bush's national numbers do, and as he fights back. He must fight back though. December was a good month, but he must continue the domestic fight aggressively if we are going to win in Iraq.

This story is interesting. The ACLU is worried about cameras in public, that may help catch criminals. So what do they do? They arm people with cameras to try to catch the police doing questionable things. This isn't a commentary on whether or not there ought to be cameras in public. It goes after Bush on Katrina, Republicans on Schiavo, the CIA leak and Libby, Iraq and WMD, the death toll in Iraq, Kenneth Thompson at PBS for trying to provide balance on PBS, and then finally the last thing is a mention of Dan Rather, in which the writer makes light of Rather's mistakes.

Do liberals really find this stuff credible? There was NO negative news for Democrats this year??? What about the end of filibusters, and the passing through of countless Bush nominees to federal courts? What about Democrats not being able to stop ANYTHING in the congress except a limited renewal of the Patriot Act? I could go on, there was a lot of bad news and excuses from Democrats...Blanco, Nagin? Oh, I don't know, the writer apparently found no excuses or blame for them.

MSNBC Reports That US Military Deaths in Iraq Are Same as Last Year, Ignores Fact That Iraqi Deaths Down 15%

In this article on MSNBC.com they report that US military deaths are only 5 less than last year. This is of course a fair point. However, they don't tell you that Iraqi deaths are down 15%. They tell of many big bombs and blasts, and once again another story devoid of the positive news in Iraq. Once again, this piece is written exactly as al Qaeda would like. Zarqawi himself could not have written a better propaganda piece himself.

I'm not arguing that these facts not be reported. They should be. They should however have some context, and there is none. There should be reporting on progress, and there is none, even though we have made steady progress. It should also be noted that we've had more US troops in Iraq through 2005 than 2004.

Seriously folks, read the article, it's really amazing. Just read the quotes from Iraqis that they use. For every quote like that, there's 10 positive quotes they could have used.

Gee CNN, tell us what you REALLY think. That's the headline they had on the main CNN website, though it's different in the body. At any rate, CNN likes to watch the big boom booms in Iraq and follow the bright flashes. The war is no more complex to them, then what they see with their eyes from their hotel rooms in Baghdad.

Now call me crazy, but isn't it possible that we might just be winning, regardless of explosions? The Iraqi people are behind us, the democratically elected government is behind, al Qaeda and the few remaining Saddam holdovers are against us. As usual, CNN sides with al Qaeda and produces EXACTLY the type of propaganda that al Qaeda aims to create by blowing people up.

CNN WAKE UP!!! You are doing the bidding of al Qaeda. If you and the rest of the anti-war liberal media stopped reporting on every little bomb, there would be less of them. Their aim is not to blow up Iraqis, but to get on the evening news here in the US. They've stated this as their goal time and again. Reuters of Course Can't Report on the NSA Leak Case Without Mentioning Plame

Here's the paragraph that has no place in the Reuters story:

After a two-year investigation into the disclosure of a covert CIA operatives identity, a special prosecutor in October indicted Vice President Dick Cheney's chief of staff, Lewis "Scooter" Libby on perjury and obstructing justice charges.

That investigation is still continuing.

Reuters liberal writer is of course trying to draw a parallel here between the leaking of a desk jockey at the CIA, and the leaking of a super secret program that was aimed at stopping and capturing al Qaeda terrorists. The sentence above also leads you to believe that Libby was indicted for leaking, which he was not. Maybe he did leak this, and if he meant to leak it to harm Plame he should be punished. Regardless this story has nothing...nothing to do with the NSA wiretap story. Nothing.

Washington Post Continues Treason

What is with these papers and trying to bring down the CIA in a time of war? We need to start trying these people who leak this information with treason. Then we need to go to the papers that are printing our most valuable secrets and put them in prison. I know, I know, freedom of speech, but we can't allow our secrets out at a time of war. Can you imagine in WWII if the press was allowed to disclose the landing points of the D-Day invasion, or where our dummy army was set up to fool the Germans?

LA Times Prints False Story on Page 1

This story is priceless.

The funny thing is that this is how liberal papers and news outfits operate. This paragraph is particularly telling:

"The reporter saw it on the Internet and had talked with the governor in the past, so she was familiar enough with the way he talks and writes that she thought it sounded authentic, and she didn't check, which she should have," Times Deputy Metro Editor David Lauter told the Casper Star Tribune.

So the Times reporter didn't check to see if the story was true, because she had talked with the governor in the past, and it "sounded" like something he MIGHT say. Mary Mapes and this chick should get together and start a news outfit, "fake but accurate".

CNN is Confused - 8.7% Increase in Holiday Spending is "Luke Warm"

CNN's financial coverage is always very bad, but this one takes the cake. First there's this story, which talks about the 8.7% spending increase in a positive light. Which by all accounts is accurate in calling the 8.7% increase, "strong".

Then there's this story, which is linked to by the positive story, which...well hell, here's a quote from it:

The Saturday before Christmas is typically the busiest shopping day of the year, according to the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), but this year retailers faced slower-than-expected traffic in stores.

Hey CNN, balance is a good thing in politics, when there is need for balance. However, 8.7% more sales is great no matter how you slice it. There's no need for balance here, unless you're still trying to convince people that Republicans can't manage the economy. I don't recall seeing this "balance" when Clinton was president. In fact, everything was rosy when Clinton was president according to your coverage.

I thought that when I read this article on CNN, they were going to surprise me by covering a story that holds Saddam Hussein in a negative light.

Then I read the whole thing, which more than half of talks about various incidents in Iraq today. Again brushing over mass graves to talk about what they really want to talk about, which is doom and gloom. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind that they cover the violence and US service men and women dying. The problem is that there is no context to that violence. They report the bad news, and the bad news only. They NEVER EVER report a good story on Iraq. That is because they want al Qaeda to win in Iraq, if only to show that Bush is an evil baby killer.

The Washington Post Gives Another Liberal A Stage to Spew...Surprise...Surprise

In this article, the Washington Post has given Crazy uncle Tom Daschle a soap box. If they weren't giving liberals a place to distort reality, they'd be do nothing.

Basically Daschle says that the Bush people tried to specifically add the United States to the post 9/11 bill that granted Bush the authority to go after al Qaeda anywhere, and that he blocked him from allowing Bush to go after them as he sees fit within the borders of this country. Surprise, surprise, even after 9/11 Daschle could not let go of his partisan politics to beat an enemy that just killed 3000 Americans.

This begs the question, if Bush couldn't get the United States specifically named in the resolution to look everywhere and do what it takes to beat al Qaeda, why couldn't Tom Daschle get it in the bill that the United States was specifically NOT INCLUDED?

What's the point? Didn't they already release a memo from the early 80's stating pretty much the exact same thing? How is this new news? Good Lord, the man's own mother said a couple months ago that he was against abortion. Is it surprising that Bush, who's pro-life and anti-death, would nominate anyone but a pro-life person? MSNBC Wants You to Believe That Republicans Are Losing In the House and Senate

In THIS post over at MSNBC.com, they have decided that the story is not the obstruction of the Patriot act by Democrats in the Senate, but that house leaders have had to agree now to sign up for the six month extension.

Go figure, the dems in the senate have taken to filibustering everything, and MSNBC thinks the story is about Republicans being impotent. So a majority of senators wanted just about everything that was filibustered. How is it that this minority is the hero, blocking the will of the majority?
